FARRUQUITO: A FLAMENCO DYNASTY

FARRUQUITO: A FLAMENCO DYNASTY

Special Features: Q&A with filmmaker Rueben Atlas

[SERÁS FARRUQUITO]
Following in the footsteps of his all-star family, world-renowned dancer Farruquito’s entire life revolves around flamenco. From the time he could walk, he trained tirelessly with his legendary grandfather, El Farruco, eventually joining him on Broadway at the ripe age of six. Quickly gaining a reputation for his aggressive yet refined style of dance, Farruquito became a sensation, touring the world and making headlines. But forced to live in the shadow of his famous family, he found that tragedy would shape his life in the most unexpected ways. Filmmakers Santi Aguado and Reuben Atlas have crafted a remarkable documentary, featuring incredible archival footage, emotionally raw interviews and astonishing dance sequences, following Farruquito as he wrestles with his legacy while training his son El Moreno to be the latest family member to take the stage. DIR/SCR Santi Aguado, Rueben Atlas. Spain/U.S., 2025, color, 90 min. In English and Spanish with English subtitles. NOT RATED
