“I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was 12. Jesus, does anyone?” In rural Oregon during the summer of 1959, four 12-year-olds head out on a journey hoping to find the dead body of a missing local boy. As the four very different friends, each troubled in his own way, Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman and Jerry O'Connell give performances of great emotional depth, as well as complete authenticity in their horseplay, teasing and juvenile attempts to understand the often-cruel world around them. Kiefer Sutherland impresses as their bullying tormentor. DIR Rob Reiner; SCR/PROD Bruce A. Evans, Raynold Gideon, from the novella “The Body” by Stephen King; PROD Andrew Scheinman.
