Simon (Richard Crenna) is a Parisian nightclub proprietor with a booming sideline in robbery and gangsterism. Delon plays a police detective who frequents Simon’s night spot to keep tabs on the suspicious figure's coming and goings — and to make time with Crenna's alluring mistress, played by Catherine Deneuve.
