The writings of James Baldwin, excerpted from his unfinished book on the lives and assassinations of Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr., are brought to life in Raoul Peck's searing, Academy Award®-nominated 2016 documentary. Samuel L. Jackson narrates Baldwin's words over a montage of archival footage and contemporary images documenting the Black experience in America, then and now.
