To mark the centennial of trailblazing writer and activist James Baldwin (1924—1987) and Black History Month, we're showcasing a selection of films highlighting the legendary author's commitment to art, expression and justice, including a recently restored shorts program comprised of three documentaries shot in London, Paris and Istanbul; a new restoration of 1982 documentary I HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE; Oscar®-nominated documentary I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO; and Barry Jenkins' celebrated 2018 adaptation IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK.
