A MIGHTY WIND Watch Trailer

A MIGHTY WIND

Director Christopher Guest and co-writer Eugene Levy bring their trademark deadpan humor to this mockumentary about aging folk singers reassembled for a stage tribute to their now-deceased manager from “back in the day.” The ensemble cast includes Levy and Catherine O’Hara as the iconic duo Mitch & Mickey, whose seven-album career ended upon their dramatic break-up; Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer as The Folksmen, the most popular act of their day; and John Michael Higgins, Jane Lynch and Parker Posey as The New Main Street Singers, a colorful “neuftet.” A MIGHTY WIND is a sharp, funny and loving parody of the American folk music scene of the 1960s. DIR/SCR Christopher Guest; SCR Eugene Levy; PROD Karen Murphy. U.S., 2003, color, 92 min. RATED PG-13
