BAREFOOT IN THE PARK

Neil Simon adapted his own hit Broadway play, with Robert Redford reprising the role he originated onstage. Reuniting a year after THE CHASE, Redford and Jane Fonda play newlyweds adjusting to married life in New York City. An odd couple, Corie (Fonda) is the lighthearted free spirit to buttoned-up lawyer Paul (Redford). Struggling to adapt to their tiny fifth-story walkup in Greenwich Village, the couple soon end up on the brink of divorce — but one drunken evening and a barefoot walk in the park might be enough to bring them back together.
