HOME ALONE
Special Features: 35th Anniversary | Intro and book signing with Jeremy Arnold, author of Turner Classic Movies’ “Christmas in the Movies,” on Dec. 22 | $5 tickets for children 12 and under!
Christmas is a very hectic time of year, so it is hard to blame the McCallister family for accidentally leaving one of their kids at home when they jet off to Paris for the holidays. Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) relishes having the house all to himself — until a pair of bumbling thieves (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) decide to burgle the McCallister residence, forcing Kevin to protect the family home. This funny, highly entertaining and perfectly cast mixture of naughty and nice features top-notch comedic turns by a then-nine-year-old Culkin, Pesci, Stern (a Maryland native), Catherine O’Hara and John Heard, with a screenplay by John Hughes.
