[UN CABO SUELTO]
In this comic caper from Uruguayan filmmaker Daniel Hendler (THE MONEYCHANGER), Santiago, a corporal in Argentina’s police force, flees from his fellow officers to Uruguay. There, donning his now-frayed uniform, Santiago ekes out a living posing as a food inspector, sampling the dairy products and sausages from the regional food halls to survive while keeping his true identity a secret. The kindness of the strangers around him — including a woman who may prove to be the love of his life — further nourish Santiago, giving him hope for a new life in this charming and gentle film about community, connections and cheese. – Javier Chavez
