SOME CAME RUNNING
Academy Award® winners Frank Sinatra and Shirley MacLaine star in this taut drama about a World War II veteran whose return to his Indiana hometown catalyzes change among people whose failures and frustrations have built to the point of explosion. Dave Hirsh (Sinatra) has faced the horror of war and endured the disillusionment of trying to make a living as a writer. When he returns to Parktown, Indiana, Hirsh starts to spend time with hostess Ginny Moorhead (MacLaine), who shares his love of alcohol; creative writing teacher Gwen French (Martha Hyer); and professional gambler Bama Dillert (Dean Martin). But Hirsh's return to Parktown becomes a match tossed into the incendiary passions building in the small Midwestern town. (Note adapted from Warner Bros.)
