RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ
Beyoncé's 2022 album "Renaissance," an ode to the Black and queer pioneers of post-1970s disco and house music, became the artist's seventh consecutive album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart before winning four Grammys and sparking a lavish tour that packed stadiums across the globe, reaching 2.7 million fans and becoming the highest-grossing tour ever by a female artist. But — of course — Beyoncé wasn't quite done. With RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ, which she directed, wrote and produced, the multi-hyphenate star chronicles both the breathtaking spectacle of the "Renaissance" concerts themselves and the behind-the-scenes work that went into making them a reality. Described by NPR as "maximalist excellence," Beyoncé's hybrid film mixes spectacular concert footage with insight into her work and motivations as an artist, her challenges and victories and her drive to keep moving, evolving and inspiring.
