Three American servicemen (Fredric March, Dana Andrews and Harold Russell) return to their hometown and struggle with the challenges of post-war life in this epic drama from writer Robert E. Sherwood and director William Wyler, which was the biggest box-office hit of its year and won seven Oscars®, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (March), Best Supporting Actor (newcomer Russell) and Best Adapted Screenplay.
