BONES AND ALL Watch Trailer

BONES AND ALL

Sins of the flesh and fine young cannibals collide in Italian auteur Luca Guadagnino's (CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, 2018's SUSPIRIA) beguiling, visceral and surprising '80s-set cannibal coming-of-age romance, which reunites Guadagnino with CALL ME BY YOUR NAME heartthrob Timothée Chalamet. Maren (Venice Film Festival award winner Taylor Russell, WAVES) is a young woman adept at surviving on the margins and in the shadows, first with her devoted father (André Holland, MOONLIGHT), then solo — and on the run. When a chance encounter leads her to Lee (Chalamet), a mysterious drifter with a big heart and an even bigger appetite for human flesh, the pair embark on an epic and perilous odyssey in search of identity and belonging. Frequent Guadagnino collaborator David Kajganich adapts Camille DeAngelis' 2015 novel to craft an onscreen pairing that takes the chemistry of BONNIE AND CLYDE, BADLANDS and NATURAL BORN KILLERS and injects a sweet, innocent edge to the tale of two lost souls marginalized by their inexplicable compulsion to cannibalize. With a mesmerizing score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, delightfully queasy sound design in all the right moments, and a stellar supporting cast that includes Mark Rylance, Michael Stuhlbarg, Chloë Sevigny, David Gordon Green, Jessica Harper and Jake Horowitz, BONES AND ALL creates a magical alchemy of beauty and terror, innocence and depravity, blurring genre lines and asking the viewer to consider what really makes us human. Winner, Silver Lion for Best Director, 2022 Venice Film Festival.
