MR. MAJESTYK
Special Features: Intro by George Pelecanos at the April 7 show
An ex-con and Vietnam vet, Vince Majestyk (Charles Bronson) is ready for the simple life, running a melon farm in rural Colorado. But his attempts at a peaceful existence are thwarted when a small-time crook (Paul Koslo, THE OMEGA MAN, VANISHING POINT) tries to shake him down for protection, leading to a violent altercation and landing Majestyk in jail. There he crosses paths with brutal mafioso Frank Renda (Al Lettieri, THE GODFATHER), and it's hate at first sight, leading to a ferocious battle of wills between the two men. Filled with ruthless shootouts, high-speed chases and all the Charles Bronson action you could ask for, MR. MAJESTYK is a thrill ride from start to finish, directed by journeyman Richard Fleischer (20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, SOYLENT GREEN) from a script by crime maestro Elmore Leonard (3:10 TO YUMA, JACKIE BROWN and OUT OF SIGHT are all adapted from his work).
