Lovesick highschooler Ana (Mara Bugarin) is beside herself, distraught that her boyfriend (Serban Lazarovici, UPPERCASE PRINT) is planning to flee Nicolae Ceausescu's oppressive regime for Germany, without giving her a second thought. Dead set on changing his mind, she heads to a classmate's party with an agenda. But Ceausescu's secret police intervene, busting the kids for listening to METRONOM, a Radio Free Europe program making waves for clandestinely broadcasting American rock across communist Romania.
