The latest film from Jacques Audiard (DHEEPAN, RUST AND BONE) is a fresh, sexy and very French look into the intertwined lives of four millennials all living in the diverse 13th arrondissement of Paris. Émilie (Lucie Zhang) is a free-spirited slacker looking for an extra roommate to help cover the bills. She's surprised when a man answers her ad — expecting "Camille" (Makita Samba) to be a woman — but after a few beers hops in bed with her soon-to-be new roommate. Nora (Noémie Merlant, PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE) is a new transplant to Paris whose life starts to unravel after her uncanny resemblance to cam girl Amber Sweet (Jehnny Beth) is discovered by her classmates. Adapted for the screen by Audiard, Céline Sciamma (PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE, PETITE MAMAN) and Léa Mysius (AVA) from a series of graphic novels by cartoonist and New Yorker illustrator Adrian Tomine, this provocative examination of modern love premiered in the competition of this year's Cannes Film Festival.
