SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE
Special Features: Free Thanksgiving Day Community Screening on Nov. 26
When Shaun the Sheep’s mischievous plan to take a day off inadvertently sends the Farmer into the Big City, it is up to Shaun, Bitzer and the Flock to rescue him. Their adventure into the Big City introduces them to two new Aardman characters: Trumper, the animal warden who rules the city’s animal shelter with a rod of iron, and Slip, an inner-city orphan dog who helps Shaun save the day. A feature-length adaptation of Nick Park and Bob Baker’s SHAUN THE SHEEP television series — in turn a spin-off of A CLOSE SHAVE (1995) — this big-screen entry in Aardman Animation’s oeuvre is a playful, endearing and downright fun film reminiscent of the silent films of old. (Note adapted from Aardman Animation.) DIR/SCR Mark Burton, Richard Starzak; PROD Paul Kewley, Julie Lockhart, Brian Medavoy. UK/France/U.S., 2015, color, 85 min. RATED PG
