Friends since childhood, Alyssa and Mehdi are inseparable. She is a rebellious free spirit; he is a sensitive artist with promising talent. Suffocating under the weight of family responsibilities and limited career opportunities in Tunisia, the two dream of a life abroad. When Alyssa discovers an art contest that awards the winner a residency in Germany, she sees a golden opportunity. The only problem is that the contest is all the way in the south, the buses are on strike and they do not have a car.
