A colorful, energetic film about the messiness of love and the complicated relationships between sons and mothers. In the early 1990s at their remote farmhouse in rural north county Dublin, sensitive, artistic Ryan; his six-year-old sister, Katie; and his larger-than-life mother, Sue, are preparing to throw a wild and glamorous party for Ryan's 12th birthday.
