For the 19th consecutive year, ShortsTV and Magnolia Pictures present the Oscar®-Nominated Short Films. With all three categories offered — Animated, Live Action and Documentary — this is your annual chance to predict the winners (and have the edge in your Oscar pool)! WAR IS OVER! INSPIRED BY THE MUSIC OF JOHN AND YOKO
Set in an alternate WWI reality where a senseless war rages on, two soldiers on opposite sides of the conflict play a joyful game of chess. A heroic carrier pigeon delivers the soldiers' chess moves over the battlefield as the fighting escalates.

The program will feature two additional films, which were shortlisted in the Animated Short Film category for the 96th Academy Awards®:

WILD SUMMON
A natural history fantasy film, following the dramatic life cycle of the wild salmon in human form, with narration by Marianne Faithfull. DIR Karni Arieli, Saul Freed. UK, color, 14 min.

I'M HIP
In a jazzy song and dance, a self-absorbed cat proudly and comically proclaims his hipness to the world, but the world is less convinced than he is. DIR John Musker. U.S., color, 4 min.
