After their huge success with 1927's THE CAT AND THE CANARY, German émigré director Paul Leni (THE MAN WHO LAUGHS, WAXWORKS) and star Laura La Plante reteamed on 1928's THE LAST WARNING. Five years after the lead actor of "The Snare" was murdered on stage, a Broadway producer revives the same play in the same theater, which had been closed since the tragedy occurred, with all of the surviving cast returning around a new lead.
