Edward Everett Horton comedy shorts program

Silent with live musical accompaniment by Ben Model; introduction by Model and author Steve Massa

Remembered today for his fussy persona in sound films such as TOP HAT (1935) and ARSENIC AND OLD LACE (1944), Edward Everett Horton is not most people's idea of a silent slapstick comedian β€” but he was! Although overlooked, Horton had a substantial career in 1920s silent comedies which culminated in his starring in a series of eight two-reelers produced by none other than Harold Lloyd. Ben Model's Undercrank Productions' new DVD collection, "Edward Everett Horton: 8 Silent Comedies," collects the whole series of comedy shorts, and this program presents three of the very best.

The newly released "Edward Everett Horton: 8 Silent Comedies" and other Undercrank Productions DVD releases will be available for purchase on site.
