Noir City DC: The Washington DC Film Noir Festival
Oct. 15–28, 2021
Noir City returns to the big screen, featuring an impeccably curated selection of films noir courtesy of Eddie Muller and the Film Noir Foundation. This year's program represents a thematic tour of Muller's book, "Dark City: The Lost World of Film Noir." You'll find both canonical classics and wonderful rarities as you explore, chapter by chapter, the Dark City neighborhoods of Shamus Flats, Knockover Square, Vixenville, Blind Alley and Hate Street, with stops at The City Desk, The Psych Ward, Losers' Lane and The Big House, among other dark places and blind alleys.
* Film Noir Foundation founder Eddie Muller will introduce screenings Oct. 15–17. Copies of his book will be available on site for sale and signing.
* Film historian Foster Hirsch will introduce screenings Oct. 22–24.
