A shaggy-dog bank heist-turned-existential romantic comedy, THE DELINQUENTS premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes to rave reviews, marking a major return from New Argentine Cinema mainstay Rodrigo Moreno (THE CUSTODIAN, A MYSTERIOUS WORLD). Working in a drab bank that seems stuck in the '70s, Morán (Daniel Elias, THE OWNERS) is ready to take a gamble. He can rob the bank blind, serve a few years behind bars and then never have to work another day in his life. He just needs his co-worker Román (Esteban Bigliardi, A MYSTERIOUS WORLD, VILLEGAS) to stash the cash while he's locked up, in exchange for which Román will be rewarded with his own portion of the loot. The anticipation of the good life awaiting them sparks something in both men, releasing them from the quotidian and allowing them to explore new possibilities, new romances (Margarita Molfino, LA FLOR, WILD TALES) and a small taste of freedom.
