TAKE ME TO TOWN in 35mm

TAKE ME TO TOWN in 35mm

Special Features: 70th Anniversary

Ann Sheridan (THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT, THE UNFAITHFUL) plays Mae Madison, a saloon singer on the run, wrongly accused of a crime she didn't commit. Hiding out in the frontier town of Timberline, she reinvents herself as Vermilion O'Toole and finds a job at the local dance hall. There she catches the eye of youngsters Cornelius, Petey and Bucket, who think she'd be a fine match for their widowed dad (Sterling Hayden, THE KILLING). This deceptively charming slice of Americana, in seductively beautiful Technicolor, marked the first collaboration between actor-turned-producer Ross Hunter and Douglas Sirk, who would go on to work together on many of Sirk's most acclaimed films. DIR Douglas Sirk; SCR Richard Morris; PROD Leonard Goldstein, Ross Hunter. U.S., 1953, b&w, 81 min. NOT RATED
