STIR CRAZY
Sidney Poitier's biggest hit as a director features the comedic pairing of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder as best friends Harry Monroe and Skip Donahue, who, out of work and at loose ends, decide to leave New York for LA to pursue their dreams of becoming an actor and playwright, respectively. But a case of mistaken identity in Arizona results in the two being framed for a bank robbery and sent to prison. There, they'll need to rely on their wits in order to survive, and eventually, collaborating with an unusual band of allies, plot an escape.
