Fresh from a breakup, Taiwanese tourist Kai (Liao Kai Ro) arrives in the seaside city of Recife, ready to try her first caipirinha. She crosses paths with Chinese transplant Fu Ang (Wang Shin-Hong), an umbrella vendor stuck waiting for a rainy day. When his shop abruptly closes, Kai starts a search to find her new friend but instead discovers a box of postcards from a woman named Xiao Xin (Chen Xiao Xin). As the disparate threads of narrative start to converge, German filmmaker Nele Wohlatz (THE FUTURE PERFECT) finds common ground among the foreigners caught between homeland and home, longing and belonging, bringing a wistful sense of melancholy to this intricate comedy of errors.
