FUNNY GIRL (1968)

"Hello, gorgeous." Barbra Streisand took home the Best Actress Oscar® for her portrayal of legendary Jazz Age vaudevillian Fanny Brice in the 1968 screen version of the Broadway musical smash, which opened in 1964 and featured the young Streisand's star-making performance. The film also stars Omar Sharif as Brice's gambling husband, Nicky Arnstein; Kay Medford as her mother, Rose; and Walter Pidgeon as entertainment impresario Florenz Ziegfeld. FUNNY GIRL is beloved for Streisand staples "People" and "Don't Rain on My Parade," plus "If a Girl Isn't Pretty," "I'm the Greatest Star" and Brice signatures "My Man" and "I'd Rather Be Blue Over You (Than Happy with Somebody Else)."
