THE MAD MAGICIAN in 3-D
In this follow-up to 1953's hit 3-D film HOUSE OF WAX, Vincent Price once again appears as a frustrated artist hellbent on bloodthirsty — and creative — revenge. Price plays Don Gallico, a gifted inventor of magic tricks who longs to perform them himself, rather than selling them to other, better-established magicians. After his shot at a big performance is cruelly scuttled by his exploitative manager, Gallico cracks and starts putting his stage props to murderous use. Directed by John Brahm (HANGOVER SQUARE) from a screenplay by the prolific Crane Wilbur, the film costars Mary Murphy and Eva Gabor. DIR John Brahm; SCR Crane Wilbur; PROD Bryan Foy. U.S., 1954, b&w, 72 min. NOT RATED
