In the Texan border town of Laredo, best friends and directors Silvia Del Carmen Castaños and Estefanía "Beba" Contreras while away the long summer nights together at the bar, in a drive-thru, on friends' couches or at protests for legal abortion and against border control violence. Through candid conversations captured by a fly-on-the-wall camera, these gifted artists share their innermost thoughts as they confront the challenges in their day-to-day lives head-on. The resulting documentary, made in collaboration with a collective of queer, non-binary and women filmmakers, is an empathetic portrait of late-stage adolescence and immigration in an increasingly divided America. Winner, Grand Prix, 2023 Berlinale Generation 14plus. Official Selection, 2023 True/False Film Festival. DIR Silvia Del Carmen Castaños, Estefanía "Beba" Contreras; DIR/PROD Miguel Drake-McLaughlin, Diane Ng, Ana Rodriguez-Falcó, Jillian Schlesinger; PROD Leslie Benavides, Rivkah Beth Medow.
