FIRE OF LOVE (2022)
Special Features: Oscar® nominee, Best Documentary
This fiery documentary from director Sara Dosa is a lyrical celebration of intrepid scientists Katia and Maurice Krafft, daring French volcanologists whose love of volcanos was matched only by their love for one another. The couple roamed the planet for two decades, chasing eruptions and documenting their discoveries before ultimately perishing in a 1991 volcanic explosion. Sosa utilizes the Kraffts' breathtaking footage to shape a tale of primordial creation and destruction, following two bold explorers as they venture into the unknown, all for the sake of love. Narrated by Miranda July. (Note adapted from Neon.) DIR/SCR/PROD Sara Dosa; SCR/PROD Shane Boris; SCR Erin Casper, Jocelyne Chaput; PROD Ina Fichman. U.S./Canada, 2022, color, 98 min.
