THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939)
"Lions and tigers and bears. Oh my!" Judy Garland stars as Dorothy, the lonely dreamer from Kansas who runs away with her dog Toto and is transported over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz. There, Dorothy makes an enemy of the Wicked Witch of the West. In order to return home, she must seek out the all-powerful Wizard of Oz with the help of her new friends: a scarecrow without a brain, a tin man without a heart and a cowardly lion. The film earned six Oscar® nominations, with wins for Best Score and Best Song ("Over the Rainbow").
