Having decided to separate from her husband, Eugenia quits her job, leaves her small Bolivian town and moves in with her father's family in another city, where she plans to take culinary lessons. Eager for new experiences — and short on cash — Eugenia accepts job as a makeup artist and then the role of a famed guerrilla fighter in an independent biopic. In this sharply observed, subtly comic look at one woman's path to empowerment, Eugenia navigates a masculine universe to find a space in which she can finally be herself.
