This portrait of youth entrenched in the punk/art/street performer scene of contemporary Medellin depicts the struggles and adventures of a group of young Colombians reaching the end of adolescence. Based on his own experiences, director Juan Sebastián Mesa's deeply personal feature debut speaks to the universal urge of those on the brink of adulthood to break free from hometown lethargy and define their place in the world. Shot in atmospheric black and white, Mesa's unconventional exploration of youth in revolt — perfectly underscored with the music of local rock band O.D.I.O. — is an affectionate ode to a generation in flux.
