After the death of his father, irresponsible slacker Elder (Julio Cezar Ticona) is sent to live with his grandmother in a small rural town. When his godfather Francisco (Narciso Choquecallata) secures Elder a job in a local mine, tensions soon arise between the pair and the other mine workers. As their relationship unravels, Elder begins to uncover dark family secrets surrounding his father's mysterious death. Set primarily in the dark subterranean world of Bolivia's tin mines, Kiro Russo's atmospheric first feature film is an inventive, visually arresting drama.
