DEPARTMENT Q: THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES
[KVINDEN I BURET]
The first installment in the popular DEPARTMENT Q trilogy is a pitch-black Nordic noir that follows Carl Mørck (Nikolaj Lie Kaas, ANGELS AND DEMONS), a brooding homicide detective who has been relegated to reviewing old cold cases after a botched investigation leaves one partner dead and another paralyzed. Though initially dismayed at his demotion, Mørck and his new partner, the Syrian-born Assad (Fares Fares, THE NILE HILTON INCIDENT, ZERO DARK THIRTY), soon focus on the unsolved disappearance of a promising politician. As the detectives dig, they begin to uncover an increasingly disturbing conspiracy.
