GOING OUR WAY
[GREMO MI PO SVOJE]
Teenager Alex and his friends attend a summer camp led by a man who takes scouting very seriously. At their age, the boys are much more interested in girls than scouting, and would rather try their luck with the girls from the neighboring camp, swim and have fun than learn proper camping skills. As parents' visiting day draws near, the situation in the camp nears its breaking point. The frustrated camp leader makes a cunning move, organizing a camping-in-the-wild competition, challenging small groups of scouts to spend a night on their own in the wilderness, in improvised shelters. Sensing a chance to escape the boredom of camp, Alex volunteers, joined by the camp leader's hypochondriac son Jake, and Sleepyhead, a philosopher type. DIR/SCR Miha Hocevar; PROD Danijel Hocevar. Slovenia, 2010, color, 97 min. In Slovenian with English subtitles. NOT RATED; suitable for ages 9–13.
