Famed MPB (música popular brasileira) singer Elis Regina was a decade into her tenure with Philips Records when she was given the ultimate anniversary gift in 1974: a collaborative album with her icon, singer-songwriter Antônio Carlos Jobim. Over 16 days in Los Angeles, the two recorded the classic Bossa Nova album "Elis & Tom," and now footage of those recording sessions has been restored for the world to see. Featuring never-before-seen archival material and interviews with the musicians featured on the record, Roberto de Oliveira's and Jom Tob Azulay's documentary is a music lover's dream come true. DIR/SCR Roberto de Oliveira; DIR Jom Tob Azulay; SCR Nelson Motta; PROD Diogo Pires Gonçalves. Brazil, 2022, color, 100 min. In English and Portuguese with English subtitles. NOT RATED
