Based on the novel by James Baldwin and directed by Academy Award® winner Barry Jenkins (MOONLIGHT), IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK is the story of Tish (KiKi Layne), a newly engaged Harlem woman who races against the clock to prove the innocence of her fiancé (Stephan James) while carrying their first child to term. The film is a celebration of love centered on the lives and families of the young couple as they try to bring about justice through love and the promise of the American dream.
